Fall brings so many terrific seasonal delights — apple picking, cider doughnuts, everything pumpkin, the start to football, getting ready for Halloween and doing some of the projects you have pushed off during the summer. The only thing is that it has been unseasonably warm out, which I am not complaining about.
Cider Hill Farm
Apple-picking is just one of those September activities that never seems to grow old. It is a magical time of year for many reasons, but one of our favorite traditions is the annual trek into the orchard to gather up as many apples as we can mound on the bag we paid $15-$20 for. I always forget how much those bags cost, but it is well worth an afternoon of hayrides, apple picking, feeding chickens, taking some pic and making memories. I have to say that Cider Hill Farm in Amesbury, MA is certainly a spot we will visit again in the years to come. Sometimes you get to these places and there is no where to park and too mobbed, but Cider Hill Farm has a great layout and never had that too packed feeling.
